Tannersville Antiques Center

An emporium of antiques and unique art http://tannersvilleantiques.com/

Since the early 1800’s, painters such as Thomas Cole, Asher Durand, Fredric Church and other members of the Hudson River School were, in a large part, responsible for enticing privileged city dwellers to the Catskills with their romantic depiction of a rugged American wilderness. Visits can be made to the historic homes of Thomas Cole and Fredric Church.  Today, the beauty is captured by contemporary artists like Francis X. Driscoll whose local landscape photography featured on this site inspires both locals and visitors to venture the unbeaten path that leads to a spectacular waterfall, secluded glen, or panoramic vista. A large selection of Driscoll’s prints are on display and available for purchase at the Tannersville Antique Center listed above.
